Today we promised our self the luxury of a rich tourist and visited Postojna Cave, vivarium and Predjama Castle. All together 25€ tickets each... ouch. But it was definitely worth it! And we hitchhiked all way there to save some money (it was 14€ to go there...we did it for free - 120km with 4 cars).
We step into the secret set of Lord of the Rings and we went to investigate amazing places - didn't manage to find Sméagol, but met his distant relative Proteus anguinus.
The cave itself was just amazing and we think that everybody should go there at least once in their lifes. We were with our mouths open the entire journey inside this cave with 20km length...something that warmed us up even with the 5/8°C that were inside there. After 2km ride by tiny train (where big people like Hugo need to be careful not to loose head or arm) we got to know one of the biggest surprises we had on our trip.
After we went to the castle...really beautiful outside because it was built into a rock - something quite unique and rare. But honestly going inside was rather disappointing. Just bunch of empty rooms with some tables and other furniture in the corners.
Later we still had time to finish our sightseeing tour back in Ljubljana. Yesterday we didn't see one of the main symbols of the town - this big dragon. Also it was nice to just walk around and enjoy evening sun and cozy small streets, making stupid pictures for fun...now Hugo will continue the trip alone and Liis will be working in the circus =D (feel free to visit her in Slovenia).
